There is no doubt that something will happen in Kiruna, the only question is when. The Abyss is the story of a family faced with the unthinkable when the disaster everyone feared suddenly becomes a reality. At the center of the action is Frigga (Tuva Novotny), who tries to balance family, new love Dabir (Kardo Razzazi) and an ex-husband who doesn’t want to let go (Peter Franzén) alongside the risky work as security manager in the Kiirunavaara mine. But when the ground suddenly begins to shake beneath their feet, their problems doesn’t matter and the fight to keep from being pulled into the abyss begins.

In the lead role we see Tuva Novotny (“Annihilation”, “Eat Pray Love”, “Riget 2”) and the director is action veteran Richard Holm (“Johan Falk”, “Gåsmamman “) who also wrote the script together with Robin Sherlock Holm and Nicola Sinclair.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Vaasa local buses, Lifti, drive several lines past Ritz. You can find your way to us with their  route planner

Ritz is only 700 meters walking from Vaasa travel centre (trains and long distance buses).

Roadside parking is free after 18:00. The easiest way to find parking is in the main square underground parking Toriparkki, 400 meters walking distance from Ritz.

For far away guests there is a wide selection of hotels in Vaasa! GreenStar Hotel Vaasa offers our customers a 10% discount on the cheapest dayrate with the code: RITZ.

During Kino nights Ritz doors open circa 20 minutes before the first movie.

Tickets are sold in the café where payment by card or cash is accepted. There is no pre-sale or take bookings for film screenings. The tickets are value tickets, and are valid as such to any screening.

Smartum, Tyky or Edenred coupons or cards are not accepted at Ritz, but they can be used to buy tickets at Studio Ticket in shopping centre Rewell.

No wardrobe service or fee during regular Kino nights.

We work continuously to make Ritz more accessible. There is a stair lift from the ground floor, where the toilet is available, to the café and auditorium on the second floor, and there is a induction loop for hearing aids in part of the auditorium. Even so it is a good idea to read up on accessibility before your visit.

Read more about accessibility, and get acquainted with the premises via the virtual tour:

Our stylish bar is also open before and between screenings. Unfortunately, drinks can not be taken into the auditorium during regular Kino nights.
