Green Border (Zielona granica)

Sun 1.9 18:00 - 20:27

9€ – 11€

Polish veteran director Agnieszka Holland’s masterpiece Green Border is a touchingly humane depiction of the plight of refugees on the border between Poland and Belarus. Holland’s film is not only a breathtaking drama, but also an extremely important speech in favor of civilization and the meaning of the words used at a time when the humanity of refugees is being erased. If the worst option is realized, a similar situation can also be seen in the Finnish border region, which is why the film is a must-see for those participating in the discussion here.

Green Border was nominated for Best Film, Director and Screenplay at the 2023 European Film Awards and won seven awards at the 2023 Venice Film Festival, including the Special Jury Prize and the UNIMED Award for Cultural Diversity.
