The Dark Side Of The Moo album, which has been in the works for five years, refines “bluegrass” with “newgrass”. The musical influences consist of unpredictable and unexpected equations, which nevertheless come together like old friends. The album features both the band’s own pop rock-influenced songs and the band’s interpretations of classic rock and metal songs from the past decades. The album was produced by Timo Kämäräinen.

The album’s single is People Just Need To Love You, composed by the band itself, which takes the band’s sound in a more pop-rock direction.

Founded in 2010, Steve ‘n’ Seagulls was born from the idea of filtering metal, folk and rock through a bluegrass-infused filter. Since then, the band, which has collected around 346 million YouTube views, has achieved a unique position as a band that combines the American sound with Finnishness, inspired by both covers and their own repertoire. The Thunderstruck video released in 2014 instantly transformed the band’s career into a sensation, after which they have recorded no fewer than five studio albums and toured extensively in Europe and North America, both headlining gigs and playing festivals in over 30 countries.

Steve ‘n’ Seagulls is the first and so far only band in Finnish history to have topped the Billboard Bluegrass chart in the United States.
