Sisu 2 is a full-throttle action movie roaring forward, a sequel to the first instalment, Sisu, which became an international hit. Aatami Korpi, “the man who refuses to die” (Jorma Tommila), returns to his home region in Soviet-occupied Karelia, dismantles his house, loads it onto a truck, and is firmly resolved to rebuild his homestead on the Finnish side. When news of Aatami’s border crossing spreads, the partisan commander (Stephen Lang) who murdered his family returns to finish off the Finnish soldier, who has already gained the reputation of a legend.
