10.00 Kjartan Thor Thordarson: Creating Magic Through Co-Productions – The Story of Sagafilm (in English)
Kjartan is co-owner of Sagafilm Iceland and CEO of Sagafilm Nordic in Stockholm. He has held executive roles at Sagafilm and 2AM Films, overseeing international investments and Nordic expansion. With deep expertise in content creation, business development, and media innovation, He has played key roles in shaping the digital and broadcast landscape in both Iceland and the broader Nordic region.

Eva von Bahr is a Swedish prosthetics, makeup, and hair designer known for her thoughtful and character-focused approach to transformation. Working closely with longtime collaborator Love Larson, she has earned multiple Academy Award nominations for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, including for The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared, A Man Called Ove, and Dune: Part One. She has also been nominated for BAFTAs for both Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two.

Based in Sweden, von Bahr brings a deep understanding of storytelling, texture, and emotion to her work — using makeup and hair design to help actors fully embody their characters. Her projects range from intimate Scandinavian films to large-scale international productions, united by a commitment to artistry, precision, and collaboration

15.00 – 16.00 Being On-Screen: Interviews with actress Sannah Nedergård and stunt man Otto Nyholm (in Swedish)
Sannah Nedergård is an actor, raised in Vaasa and educated at the Theater Academy in Helsinki. When we meet her during Ostrobothnia Film Fest, she has just finished filming Aku Louhimie’s upcoming film “Lapin Sota”, which will premiere in autumn 2026. She can also be seen in Yle’s newly released thriller series “Kylmä kausi” as well as previous productions such as SkyShowtime’s “Kodnamn: Annika”.

Otto Nyholm is a stuntman and actor from Munsala. Otto has worked on national productions like (SISU 2) as well  major international productions like (Christopher Nolan’s – The Odyssey). When he’s not working on film, he enjoys filming and uploading content to his social media.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Vaasa local buses, Lifti, drive several lines past Ritz. You can find your way to us with their  route planner

Ritz is only 700 meters walking from Vaasa travel centre (trains and long distance buses).

Roadside parking is free after 18:00. The easiest way to find parking is in the main square underground parking Toriparkki, 400 meters walking distance from Ritz.

During Kino nights Ritz doors open circa 20 minutes before the first movie.

Tickets are sold in the café where payment by card or cash is accepted. There is no pre-sale or take bookings for film screenings. The tickets are value tickets, and are valid as such to any screening.

Smartum, Tyky or Edenred coupons or cards are not accepted at Ritz, but they can be used to buy tickets at Studio Ticket in shopping centre Rewell.

No wardrobe service or fee during regular Kino nights.

We work continuously to make Ritz more accessible. There is a stair lift from the ground floor, where the toilet is available, to the café and auditorium on the second floor, and there is a induction loop for hearing aids in part of the auditorium. Even so it is a good idea to read up on accessibility before your visit.

Our stylish bar is also open before and between screenings. Unfortunately, drinks can not be taken into the auditorium during regular Kino nights.
