Månskensbonden releases a new album and plays in his home city Vaasa!
After writing an album about growing up in rural areas in Ostrobothnia and one about returning, the trilogy is now complete with the third album, which is about jumping on a ferry, leaving the homeland and facing the world and its storms. Månskensbonden’s third album Svindel & lågtryck will be released on April 11 via the label Septembernatt. The album was recorded with Henrik Oja (Säkert!) in Umeå, with members from, among others, Honungsvägen and Vasas flora och fauna. A Kvarken album, quite simply.
The album release will be celebrated on the home stage Ritz on May 16, where Månskensbonden will give a energetic concert with his band.

Singing in Ostrobothnian Swedish, Månskensbonden had a Finnish-Swedish hit with his first single Döpt i Kyro älv (2015). With the singles För sent för ibland and Nattfilen, Bonden also gained more attention in Sweden. In April 2018, the debut album ‘Vårat Ödeland’ was released, one of the best albums of the year according to the newspaper HBL. The album was followed by the single Stormin, a duet with Iiris Viljanen, which was named one of the best songs of the week by Dagens Nyheter, among other things. Månskensbonden’s second album, “Nånstans längs en bortglömd breddgrad” was released in 2022 by the Swedish company Startracks. In 2024, Månskensbonden toured with the critically acclaimed performance Österbottnisk afton, together with Alfred Backa, Josefin Sirén and Rickard Eklund.
Special guest: Georg Marander + avec
Georg Marander + Avec is a glittery, electro-acoustic Italian-inspired indie duo from Vaasa. Georg Marander started as Axel Brink’s solo project in 2018, where he explored whether it was possible to do Italian disco in Finnish-Swedish. In early 2023, Georg was joined by Avec (Izabella Fant) on drum machine and vocals. Since then, they have played all over Finland and Sweden.
Georg Marander’s singles have been praised by many over the years. Among other things, the song “Vi åker till Italien” was awarded the “Best Right Now” stamp by Gaffa in the summer of 2020. The name is a reference to the legendary synth artist Giorgio Moroder.
Although Italian influences are a cornerstone of the music, the duo has expanded to take inspiration from everything from indie to post-punk.
