A single mother and her two daughters relocate to Taipei to open a night market noodle stall, each navigating the challenges of adapting to their new environment while striving to maintain family unity.
The debut film by Shih-Ching Tsou, who has made a name for herself as a producer (e.g., The Florida Project), captures the kaleidoscope of Taipei’s neon lights, the circus of life, and adventure. The producer, editor, and co-writer Sean Baker directed the Oscar-magnet Anora. Born in 2016, young star Nina Ye is the most charming breakthrough of the year on the silver screen.
