Lapua, year 1976. Matti Holma (Konsta Laakso) works at a cartridge factory – like most of the locals. Mati and Kaisa share a past, a relationship that Kaisa’s father (HP Björkman) never accepted.
Encounters at work bring Matt and Kaisa closer together again. The old love hasn’t died out. But Kaisa is already about to get engaged – and she has a big secret. Matti doesn’t want to give up his hope for Kaisa, but on the morning of April 13, something happens at the loading station that shakes the whole of Finland. A fateful explosion turns a love story into a tale of courage, loss and hope.
