A Georgian seaside village. Lia, who has made a career as a teacher, wants to find her missing niece Tekla. The sleazy neighbor boy Achi claims to know Tekla’s new address in Istanbul. The two cross the border and sail across the Bosphorus to the timeless and incredible Istanbul, where the truth has many faces. There is always someone to help you when the situation seems hopeless. Campaigning for trans rights, Evrim seems to know everyone, and everyone opens their doors to him. CROSSING is an ode to human dignity and the diversity of Istanbul.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Vaasa local buses, Lifti, drive several lines past Ritz. You can find your way to us with their  route planner. 

Ritz is only 700 meters walking from Vaasa travel centre (trains and long distance buses).

Roadside parking is free after 18:00. The easiest way to find parking is in the main square underground parking Toriparkki, 400 meters walking distance from Ritz.

During Kino nights Ritz doors open circa 20 minutes before the first movie.

Tickets are sold in the café where payment by card or cash is accepted. There is no pre-sale or take bookings for film screenings. The tickets are value tickets, and are valid as such to any screening.

Smartum, Tyky or Edenred coupons or cards are not accepted at Ritz, but they can be used to buy tickets at Studio Ticket in shopping centre Rewell.

No wardrobe service or fee during regular Kino nights.

We work continuously to make Ritz more accessible. There is a stair lift from the ground floor, where the toilet is available, to the café and auditorium on the second floor, and there is a induction loop for hearing aids in part of the auditorium. Even so it is a good idea to read up on accessibility before your visit.

Our stylish bar is also open before and between screenings. Unfortunately, drinks can not be taken into the auditorium during regular Kino nights.
