In the late 1990s, eight-year-old Sasha and her family relocate to a new home on Vancouver Island, but their fresh start is interrupted by increasingly dangerous behaviour from the eldest son, Jeremy. At wit’s end, their parents are presented with a shattering choice.

Award-winning director Sophy Romvari’s feature debut is a lyrical and profound testament to the things we carry with us, masterfully chronicling the haze of a languid summer and the clarity of the moments that defined it.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Vaasa local buses, Lifti, drive several lines past Ritz. You can find your way to us with their  route planner. 

Ritz is only 700 meters walking from Vaasa travel centre (trains and long distance buses).

Roadside parking is free after 18:00. The easiest way to find parking is in the main square underground parking Toriparkki, 400 meters walking distance from Ritz.

For far away guests there is a wide selection of hotels in Vaasa! GreenStar Hotel Vaasa offers our customers a 10% discount on the cheapest dayrate with the code: RITZ.

During Kino nights Ritz doors open circa 20 minutes before the first movie.

Tickets are sold in the café where payment by card or cash is accepted. There is no pre-sale or take bookings for film screenings. The tickets are value tickets, and are valid as such to any screening.

We currently don’t accept payments with Epassi, Smartum, Tyky, Edenred or other employee benefits.

No wardrobe service or fee during regular Kino nights.

We work continuously to make Ritz more accessible. There is a stair lift from the ground floor, where the toilet is available, to the café and auditorium on the second floor, and there is a induction loop for hearing aids in part of the auditorium. Even so it is a good idea to read up on accessibility before your visit.

Our stylish bar is also open before and between screenings. Unfortunately, alcoholic drinks can not be taken into the auditorium during regular Kino nights.
